On Friday we got home from a 5 day canoe trip to Ross Lake, which is a remote lake on the boarder of Washington and Canada. We first drove 5 hours to get to the North Cascades National Park, which is called the "American Alps". Then we took a Ferry across something called Diablo Lake. From there we took a truck to a doc, where a speed boat took us to Ross Lake Resort. It is here that we rented a canoe and set off onto the lake for 5 days and four nights of canoeing and camping and swimming. Unfortunately BC, Canada was on fire and within the first day, all of the magestic snow covered peaks we could see behind the hills from the lake, disappeared behind a vale of smoke. Here are the top photos from our trip.
